about

Run to Empower

Hi, my name is Catie Crossman. I didn’t grow up as a runner. Even after finishing three marathons, I sometimes felt like I didn’t belong in the running world. But what I’ve learned is that running isn’t just about pace or performance. Running is more about how it makes us feel: strong, safe, and connected.I first discovered my love for coaching through a local boxing studio in the Hague where I saw how women lit up when they realized their own strength. I learned that coaching isn’t about perfection and that I can help women believe they can do more than they thought possible. That’s why I started Run to Empower here in The Hague. It’s a space where women of all levels can run together, share the journey, and build confidence step by step. This is just the beginning. What we’re building in The Hague is the first chapter of a movement I hope to grow globally, so women everywhere can feel the same strength and belonging through running.

What shapes the way I coach

My Approach

Empowerment first.
Running is more than training plans. My coaching philosophy focuses on building confidence, consistency, and a sense of belonging. My programs are designed to meet you where you are, so you feel supported every step of the way.

Accessible by design.
I don’t believe cost should be the reason a woman doesn’t start. That’s why I use a Pay What You Can model. It’s simple: you choose the amount that feels right for you, with a suggested contribution as guidance. No matter what you contribute, you’ll always receive the same support, care, and commitment.
This approach lets me honor the value of my coaching while opening the door for more women to step into running with confidence.

Backed by knowledge.
I’m a UESCA Certified Running Coach and currently pursuing my Girls Gone Strong Women’s Coaching Specialist Certification. Combined with years of experience of running and coaching women in boxing and fitness, I bring both expertise and empathy to every session.

For every woman.
Whether it’s your first run or your fiftieth, you belong here. My coaching meets you where you are making running accessible, supportive, and tailored to your life.

CPC Group Training

The City-Pier-City Loop in the Hague was my first real race where I felt like a runner. Training with a group gave me confidence, structure, and joy and that's what this program is built around. You can join for the 5 km, 10 km, or 21 km, whether you're a complete beginner, running the distance for the first time, or looking to improve your time. What’s included (9 weeks, Jan 10 – March 15 2026):

  • A structured, supportive training plan. Three distances, one welcoming approach. You’ll train through VDOT, my coaching platform of choice, so your weekly sessions are clear, tailored and sync directly to your running watch for ease and consistency.

  • Weekly in-person group sessions, Saturday mornings, The Hague. We meet every Saturday to train together and build consistency as a group. Sessions are designed so all distances can train side by side with clear guidance. If I’m traveling for work, I’ll share the adjusted plan in advance so you always know exactly what to do and don’t lose momentum.

  • Warm-up & strength routines. Simple, accessible movement to build resilience and reduce injury risk.

  • Mindset coaching. Tools to build consistency, confidence and trust your pacing.

  • Private WhatsApp group. Encouragement, questions, buddy-ups and celebrating wins.

  • Race-day prep workshop. Pacing, fueling, gear and what to expect, especially helpful for 10 km and HM runners.
